The introduction will explain more about the how and why of this project. This project then seeks to discuss a number of issues related to the pervasiveness of new media in our society:

• the question of dystopianisms,
• related to dystopianism: the issue of utopianisms,
• the specific issues and useable concepts within the theoretical paradigms of postmodernism,
• and similarly, those within standpointism,
• the burning questions of reinstalling responsibility,
• and the seductions that come with the cyborg and hypertext metaphors.
