Science fiction, like hypertext, is a mixture of science and literature — or, more accurately, a literary appropriation and exploration of scientific imagery and technology. Science fiction's postmodern aesthetic, description of intricate global networks, and critical consideration of the effects of technology interest both literary and science studies .
