Hypertext, like science fiction, is a mixture of science and literature — a scientifically-enabled, computer-based literary form. Hypertext is multivocal and decentered, embodying a postmodern conception of narrative. Hypertext can also be taken as a paradigm for postcoloniality and postpositivist science.
