Because the ultimate goal of Navigation in Hypertext Problem is readers, it is useful to look at some studies on the behaviour of hypertext readers. Here we show three of them, namely:
From these studies, we can see that although some readers prefer to browse and chance their luck to get information and navigation in hypertext requires experiences of readers, navigation aids are necessary. Moreover, since designing hypertext has become more and more important, hypertext authors need experiences and design tips to help them do their job.
