One of the most interesting responses to the 1992 version of Hypertext appeared in the Pompidou Center in Paris where a metre-high image of Hypertext functioned as a kind of muse in the midst of a giant photomural of Paris, part reality and part imagination, taken from the roof of the Samaritaine department store. As Marin Kasimir and Fredric Migrayrou explain in text that accompanies "Paris l'image excentrique" at the Pompidou Center, "La camera panoramique multiplie les images décentrés de cet axe en une memoire partiellement mise en scène du réel.
