Exit, Stage Left

The Foyer

The foyer of this fairly large California mansion is designed to make a strong first impression. An impressive pair of massive wooden doors occupies the extreme right of the stage, and a smaller but still imposing pair resides stage left. A plainer door at the rear of the stage leads into a coat closet. The walls are bare, but have an unevenly textured coat of paint that, from a respectable distance, makes them look as if they were made from marble.
