Brendan is a higher-up in the Calendar section of the Los Angeles Times, a section which, though not even hinted at by its title, deals with books, television and film. He is not officially at the premiere of James Pope, Jr.'s Exit, Stage Left as a representative of the Times, though; he received a nice sum from James Sr. to attend and subsequently review the production. He's already talked with James Jr. about it, and likes the ideas behind it, but is skeptical as to how it'll turn out.
