April is an student in her twenties, attending an art college in nearby Pasadena. Her greatest achievement there, in the eyes of most people, has been landing the obscenely rich James Pope, Jr. She claims she's not in it for the money, but the public, fickle as it is, has a different opinion. Whatever her motive for dating James, nobody can say she hasn't done well for herself; her limited exposure in tabloid gossip columns has netted her a few bit parts in film, and according to her James has promised her a leading role in his new play, Exit, Stage Left.
