Jos. Gargery Blacksmith. I scratchbuilt the forge and blacksmith shop that houses it. After I created the forge from plastic sheets of brick material for my old HO AP&G, it sat on various shelves for at least 30 years before I created a base for it so it would wrk as a forge in 1/48 scale and then built the shop from scraps of 1/8 inch baltic plywood covered with brick material. Thanks to Jim Kerkham for suggesting I put sliding doors on the building. Joseph Gargery, of course, is the blacksmith from Charles Dickens’s Great Expectations who raises and protects his nephew Pip. Click on image to enlarge it.
