Galilee Harbor in 1870. (Photograph April 2010). From this vantage point one sees (a) the rear of a tug, (b) a Rust Rails coastal vessel with a load of pipe docked next to (c) Frary & Hayden Marine Supply, to the left of which appears (d) Florence's Chowder Hut. On the (e) Campbell wharf I've built an extension to hold the (f) White Star Freight Co. (whose name and rub on lettering came from a Clover House 1890s freight car lettering set). Here one can also see the (g) main shopping street, (h) tiny station on the dock, (i) 1860s freight and passenger cars, and (j) the Block Island ferry arriving.
