After spray-painting the parts of the Walthers kit their appropriate colors, I added interest to the blank, boring roof by adding ducts and air-conditioning equipment plus a pile of left over lumber in one corner. Next various decals and movie posters were glued to the side of the structure.

The bookstore, which faced the cathedral and square named after it, sat adjacent to the town bank and backed up on two larger buildings, the Pawtuxet Hotel and the parking garage. The block formed by these four structures ended up with a wide alley between the bank and bookstore, so I created a little addition to take up some of the space.

I first created a simple doorway but decided to add a vestibule that protruded from the plain front of the addition.
