The attraction of the void lies at the basis of seduction: not the accumulation of signs, nor the messages of desire, but an esoteric complicity with the absorption of signs. Seduction begins in secrecy, in the slow, brutal exhaustion of meaning which establishes a complicity amongst signs; it is here, more than in a physical being or the quality of a desire, that seduction is concocted. And it is what accounts from the enchantment of the game's rules.
