Why is the supplement dangerous? It is not enough to speak dangerous in itself, in that aspect of it that can present itself as a thing, as a being-present. But here the supplement is not, is not a being (on). Its slidings slip it out of the simple alternative presence/absence. As soon as the supplementary outside is opened, its structure itself can be typed, replaced by its double, and that a supplement to the supplement, a surrogate for the surrogate is possible and necessary.
