This was the dedication that Chris Shea (the featured poet) wrote in my yearbook when we graduated from high school. When I saw the P.S. something in my heart froze and I said, "Why the hell not?" It is an expression of something inherent in Chris, an arrogant willfullness that seems fully justified in someone as intelligent as he is.

It has been a pleasure collaborating with you on various projects. May Brown fuel your mayhem. Write, write, and write some more, you do a beautiful job of that. Paint as well. . . talent withers without practice. I hope at least a few letters will be exchanged over the summer and through college. May your teeth stay nice and straight, your genes must prosper after all.

Life is good.

P.S. Let's be famous.
