Quoting Quoting an author - explained

I have chosen to illustrate the process by which a quoted author is dealt

with by the 3 frames below. The central scrollable frame is the quote. It is

NEVER possible to see the text that was quoted in its ENTIRETY- if you are

holding only one book in your hand. (when you scroll down you lose sight of the

part of the sentence you saw) You make sense of the text only by your memory- if

you are holding only one book in your hand. (reading as you scroll down the

parts of the sentence forms in your head to form a coherent  picture)
