I have a huge list of books to read. But I know I will never get to all of them. I could, though. I have read accounts of people who take a year off of their life and rent a one-room cabin in the New Hampshire woods, and they read. All alone, in the absence of the demands and distractions of our modern technological lifestyle. I'd like to do that. But I guess if I read everything that is on my list, I would have much less of a raison d'etre, I would feel close to having accomplished everything I want to in life. And that would be boring.
