Usually it's the same procedure. Plug in, wait a few minutes while the data transfers, remove the chip, log out. Then, it begins. It's supposed to begin, anyway. Lately Kevin's been hitting the darker corners, looking for better MEMs, but it hasn't paid off. Not yet, anyway.
A tap on the window. Cameron smiles and gives him the thumbs up signal, questioning. Kevin shakes his head and rolls down the window.
"How was it?"
"How was what." Kevin flicks the microchip across the dashboard and nods bitterly as it falls through the defrosting vents.
"Why the hell you do that?
Kevin shrugs at him and points to his temple. Shakes his head. "No good. Like the others. Let's get something to eat."
Cameron shakes his head back. "Two hundred done, without even a second go... You've gotta relax, man."
Kevin shrugs again, fumbles with the ignition, puts the car in reverse and tears out of the lot.
