I can't really blame them for the way they raised me. My father's father died when he was a young boy living in Taiwan. He had to beg for food and take care of his two younger siblings when he was only seven years old. My grandmother did not make it out of China when she was trying to escape the communists. I wouldn't even think of taking my parents for granted because if I ever did, all they had to do was to tell me was the story of their childhood, how they grew up parent-less, and then I felt ashamed for ever having a complaint.
