R and L can't be bothered with housekeeping, watering the plants, getting their work done. They are too busy with each other- holding hands, talking all night long, kissing, playing games, making love. Who has time to wash the dishes, when they haven't seen each other all day? Instead, they go out for dinner and kiss across the tablecloth, holding hands underneath the table. They sing silly little songs that they made up for each other, take long walks in the rain, make up nicknames for each other that don't make any sense. " We will never be like other people," R tells L. "We love each other too much."
