Celeste's Masterpiece

Celeste set up an easel next to her sleeping bag. She took out a 16' by 36' framed canvas and placed it on the easel.

"This is my greatest work to date," she told Mike.

"But, I mean, I don't know anything about art, I mean, I just know what I like, but, well, to me, anyway, it doesn't look like there's anything there." He looked at Celeste cautiously.

"That's why it's so great. The will of the artist isn't imposed on the piece. That way each viewer can add to it as they choose. It really empowers the viewer that way, don't you think? I sleep next to it every night for inspiration."

"I see," Mike said.

The painting said nothing.
