Ted Newman is an old friend of the Popes; as "family doctor", he's known James Jr. since birth. Still, he was surprised to find an invitation addressed to him and his wife Clarisse, inviting them to the first exhibition of Exit, Stage Left. In fact, this invitation was sent by James Sr., with the request that the Newmans keep an eye on his son.
