The Ballroom

The ballroom, viewed from the outside, appears to have been an afterthought, annexed to the house when the contractors discovered they had lumber to spare. The interior doesn't rival that of the more swank hotels; it's just a hardwood dance floor with a section set aside for a band. During a party, this room sees a lot of use, but at other times the reverberations of one's footsteps amplify the sense of emptiness. Doors lead to many of the other popular party hangouts: the patio, the dining room, and the hallway leading back to the main hall.
