You are here. Wien is a large city. In actual size it is no larger than most, but in presence it's very big. Franz Joseph I knew what he was doing when he commissioned most of the buildings that make up the Palace district. They are quite large and quite imposing.

You haven't much time in Wien, so you decide that instead of seeing a bunch of museums you'll just walk around all day. This turns out to be a good approach. Your feet get tired, but you feel like you a have a feel for the layout of the city, at least, if not a real knowledge of what it has to offer.

As it gets dark, you head back to the train station.
