The trip to Prana takes about 9 hours, and you sleep in a comfortable couchette. You have been sleeping for several hours when the train grinds to a halt, and a bunch of the scariest looking guards you've ever seen get on the train, and demand to see your passports. Apparently the train goes briefly through Slovakia on its way to the Czech Republic, and these are angry Slovakian military police, who have nothing better to do than bother passengers entering and leaving their country inside of an hour. After some grunting and yelling, the Guards leave you and your compartment-mates alone. You sleep a bit more lightly the rest of the way there. Your train arrives in Praha at 6:20am. The Youth Hostel where you are staying doesn't open until 9am. You have some time to waste, and a heavy bag to carry in the meantime...
