The Author as the founder of discursivity

From his principle of authorship, Foucault is thereby suggesting that the principle of authorship exceed the bounds of books or texts, which carried the authorís name.

The author does not only exercise a jurisdiction over his own texts but also over the ideas, which his texts carried in them.

Therefore, Aristotle is, in a sense, the author of Aristotelianism and Euclid, the author of geometry.
