"Women need to uncover older preindustrial network skills; in part they need to unlearn socialization into male dominance systems" (Boulding 217).

Women must create and win credibility for non-hierarchical modes of organization. The challenge lies in the difficulty to earn acceptance of these organizations as legitimate. To succeed, we need good communication skills and the technology to network.

Postmodern feminism calls for a multiplicity of female voices, so feminism itself does not become hierarchical (Tickner 16).

We need to "craft a poetic/political unity without relying on a logic of appropriation, incorporation, and taxonomic identification" (Haraway 157).
