Of course, this question has now been hounding me for weeks. Every time I am asked to describe the course to a friend or relative, I find myself first racking my brains for the easiest way to do so, then realizing that such a simple description is impossible. Inevitably, I end up mumbling something completely unintelligible. If further prompted, I resort to the safest, most ambiguous description:

"Well it's basically part two of the Hypertext & Critical Theory class I took last semester."

Which, of course, isn't true at all.
