I had outgrown a lot of things before the age of five, but that's the price that you pay for being the first born son of first generation Chinese parents. They expected so much of me. I started reading when I was three, I started piano when I was five, but it was not soon enough for my parents. But I loved them, and I still do, and if that means sacrificing what I am for their happiness then that's the way it had to be.

"Ming-Ming you have to put other people first. You give them the best and then they will respect you."

This saying was always resonating through my mind. It effected and still effects everything I do and how I do it.
