The IRIS Building on George Street

IRIS's first home, I believe, was in refurbished rooms in the old Metcalf Chemistry building on Thayer Street across from the Science Library. It then moved into what had been a beautiful private home on George Street across from the original computer center. When IRIS contracted in 1991, leaving only Marty Michel, Jim Coombs, Paul Kahn, and George Landow, it then moved into a nice suite of rooms in the basement of the the former computer center, which now belonged to Applied Mathematics.
