Sam clutched the ragged doll and stroked its faded hair, held fast to its tiny hand.

Sam launched herself at the doctor and was pummeling him, drawing blood with each blow.

The aides watching through the glass panel rushed inside and struggled to remove her. A nurse rushed for a sedative, and injected the cold liquid into her arm. Sam whimpered and started to sob, as the pale yellow walls faded into a blur.
