The sitting room is designed for just that: sitting with guests, drink in hand, and socializing. An oriental rug occupies most of the floor; it is framed by multiple chairs and sofas. The left-hand wall contains a large fireplace and two windows which look out over a small Pacific inlet. In the front left and rear left doors lead to the study and the dining room respectively. A larger door on the right leads back to the main hall.
