Looking at all these religious areas, one cannot help but wonder about the advantages and disadvantages that the Internet brings to traditional religious practices. The Internet is playing a vital and important role in bringing to people, of various backgrounds and different beliefs, the awareness of religion and practices. Since the Internet is now becoming a widely used medium, people who are not aware of the existence of a particular religion can get to do so as long as they have access to the Web pages of the particular religion. The Web pages serve as a forum for varying kinds of ideas and beliefs on different types of religion. For example it brings to your awareness information regarding different types of religion. It also serves as a medium by which people can target converts for their specific beliefs. Access to information can be used negatively or positively. These web pages also serve as means by which people who are against a particular religion can use, to retrieve information that has been provided by a specific religion for example, information may then be used to develop anti-religion campaign against the targeted religion.

Once again, the use of information at the whim and fancy of our convenience must be considered with moral justifications. A peripatetic must display a good rationale when judging just how far can the impact of the Internet has on something as sensitive as religion. Remember that one effect of globalization is that we are now living in overlapping communites of fate. This gives us even more impetus to care about cultural and religious differences amongst people. Even during a hypertravel, where faces and identities are obliterated as we travel in the name of anonymous perpetatics, we must still bear in mind the several sensitive issues that still determine human interactions.
