The Field

We took a long drive on a lonely highway in pursuit of the center of the center of things. This is a big place, there's no denying that, where cities become cells multiplying in the belly of an enormous puppy.

We named him Rex, because it seemed like the most respectful thing to do.

Clearly though, centers are difficult things to pin down with any scientific notion of accuracy, so we kept on driving that rig with Rex in the back, though he quickly spilled over the edges of the bed and what the heck were we supposed to do then? Keep on trucking down the autobahn, leaving a messy trail of puppy?

We thought it better to conceive of an alternate mode of transportation.
