"Well, for one thing, very few people have cubist paintings up in their houses--"
"I didn't even know they made posters."
"Right. Well, as far as I can tell, the reason is that they are mostly pretty ugly. It was an intellectual movement, bringing to bear and contending the accepted notions of space. You don't look at a cubist painting and say, 'Oh, that's pretty. I want it.'
"But, if you really look at the poster, I mean really observe it, you can see that it actually is beautiful."
